The Role

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Officer (Payables) to join our Finance team. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely execution of supplier payments.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

· Process and post supplier invoices accurately and on time

· Match invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes

· Maintain supplier records and ledgers

· Prepare and execute payment runs in line with agreed terms

· Resolve discrepancies with suppliers and internal teams

Financial Controls & Reconciliations

· Perform supplier statement reconciliations

· Support month-end processes including accruals

· Ensure accuracy and completeness of payables records

· Comply with internal financial controls and procedures

Procurement & Administration

· Manage office supplies and stationery procurement

· Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment

· Liaise with suppliers for quotations and orders

· Maintain records and ensure cost-efficient purchasing

· Support the finance team with ad-hoc duties

Position Requirements

· A recognised qualification in accounts (preferred)

· Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role

· Familiarity with accounting systems (e.g. Shireburn is an asset)

· High level of accuracy, attention to detail and time management skills

· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
